Rajahmundry; A stampede broke out at Pushkar Ghat, which resulted in death of seventeen pilgrims and twenty other being injured on the very former day of 'Pushkaram Festival.'

The hurly-burly/incident backlashed when the magnificent crowd geared to take holy wane/dip in the river, Kulasekhar, dy SP East Godavari district, captioned it.

He further quoted, that the dead soul are amongst senior citizens and that their person-hood is yet to be known by the police officials.

Arun Kumar, East Godavari District Collector quoted, 17 pilgrims doomed their existence in the incident, as per the present reports.

The deceased encompass 13 women, Sub-Collector, Rajahmundry, quoted Vijay Ramaraju.
