Google has just released the third and final preview of the next version of Android 6.0 Software Developer Kit (SDK) and announced the official name for the new edition of the mobile operating system at the same time. Android 5.0 was known as "Lollipop" is now followed by the Android 6.0 "Marshmallow".

So far, Android 6.0 of Google Android has only been called M, but this will change with the new name momentarily. As usual, its name come from a candy. Marshmallow has its ancestors starting over from Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat and last Lollipop.

Android 6.0 SDK Preview 3 has provided the final prerelease version of the new software developer kit.
