Nine people are taken into custody on Monday in connection with an attack on a Jiwani Airport, Pakistan.

Around 12 militants attacked the Airport on Sunday and destroyed its radar system, killing two electronic engineers.

The Jiwani Airport is situated 10 km away from the city centre of Jiwani in Balochistan and is not considered to be a major airport of Pakistan.

The Jiwani Airport has not been functional for the last 20 years.

According to the police; “The suspects are taken into custody from different areas of Gwadar district in the Balochistan province of Pakistan.

Last year in June the militants had also attacked Pakistan’s largest international and domestic airport Jinnah International Airport which is located in Karachi, the attack killed around 36 people including 10 militants.
