JAKARTA- World No.1 Carolina Marin of Spain beat World No.2 Saina Nehwal of india in the final encounter of World Badminton Championships 2015, Jakarta, Indonesia on Sunday.

Top-seed Carolina Marin won the game by two straight set win 21-16, 21-19. The final match lasted for 59 minutes.

First Set
The match started with lot of aggression, it was all heated up as both the shuttlers were desperate to win the title.

Indian shuttler started well as she took the lead of 7-5 in the beginning of the final encounter.

Later, Carolina took straight 6 points lead, making it 11-7 on the points table.

Saina Nehwal, seeded 2, tried her best, but top-seed Carolina dominated the game, and won her first set by 21-16.

Second Set
In the second set we saw, the crowd out there was all boost up and was electrifying.

Saina took the lead of 6-5.

It was so noisy out there that the two players were unable to here the umpires call and decision.

Carolina even got a warning for using abusive language in the mid way of the game.

Nehwal was on fire as it was 12-7, but it is never that easy when you face World No.1.

Within few minutes, Carolina puts the scoreboard equal by winning straight five points, making it 12-12.

The game was neck-to-neck, as both were on their toes to win the title. It was 18-18 when Carolina Marin got the championship point and won the Women’s Singles World Badminton Championships final by straight two set win 21-16, 21-19

After the match Carolina said, “Never that easy to play against such competitor like saina. It was a must win game for me.”
