Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made the upcoming movie “Manjhi-The Mountain Man” all tax free in the state.

Sources revealed that, today in the Janata Ke Darbar me Mukhya Mantri programme, the Bihar CM made the announcement to waive off the taxes on the upcoming movie “Manjhi-The Mountain Man”.

The film is basically based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi who is a poor labourer hailing from Gehlaur Village in Gaya district, who is widely known as the “Mountain Man” in the movie.

This Mountain Man laid the road through the mountain only by using hammer and chisel in memory of his wife, who had passed away by not getting proper medical treatment who could not even travel to the nearest hospital and it took a lot of time due to the mountain, as there was no road.

This movie is directed by Ketan Mehta and the Mountain Man’s role played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Dashrath Manjhi and his wife’s role is played by Radhika Apte. This movie is going to hit theaters from 21th of August.

Nitish Kumar had scheduled to attend the programme on the movie in the evening and also the cast of the film had paid a visit to Gaya last evening as a part of an event to promote the movie.
