Warner Bros Pictures are working on the Scooby-Doo franchise which would be an animated movie.

The movie would be produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle who were the producers for the live action films “Scooby-Doo” and “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed”. And Allison Abbate who produced films like “Fantastic Mr. Fox”, “Corpse Bride” and “Frankenweenie”. With Dan Povenmire the “Family Guy” being the executive producer.

The film will be directed by Tony Cervone whose Carton Network’s “The Looney Tunes Show” and “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated” is well known with screenplay written by Matt Lieberman.

The movie will be featuring under the banner of Warner Animation Group. The reports reveal that the project was in development since 2013, as Roven and Suckle were busy with the script along with Lieberman (screenplay writer for the famous “Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief).

The TV series “Scooby-Doo: Where are You?” which was created by Hanna-Barbera and was aired in 1969 for the first time.

"The creation of Hanna-Barbera inspires the movie, as we all loved the original animated series. This animated film will also be led by Scooby-Doo as the most famous brand ambassadors who will reintroduce this pantheon of enduringly popular animated stars in the film" said Greg Silverman, Warner Bros. president of creative development and worldwide production.

The movie is set to release by September 21, 2018.
