Toddlers aged 6 and 14 from Delhi filed a petition to the Supreme Court stating to stop the sale of crackers in Dussehra and Diwali, as their right to be brought up in a pollution-free environment is been violated, which is mentioned in the petition.

The petition was filed through their parents Arjun Goyal, Aarav Bhandari and Zoya Rao Bhasin, as officials fail to take necessary measures to control the air and noise pollution.

The Supreme Court is requested to issue an immediate order regarding the licences provided to the cracker sellers through the government agencies, as the festivals are nearing the toddlers would be prone to lung disease, asthma, coughing, bronchitis, retarded nervous system development and cognitive impairment.
