New Delhi: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday at Amar Jawan Jyoti paid tribute to the Indian soldiers killed in the defence of their country in the India-Pakistan war, which took place between September 6 and 23 in 1965.

Amar Jawan Jyoti also called as ‘Flame of the Immortal Soldiers’ is located in New Delhi.

PM Narendra Modi was accompanied by the three service chiefs, and he also met some of the war veterans and their families.

The exhibition has been set up by the Army as part of golden jubilee celebration of the 1965 war, and was scheduled to conclude on September 20 but due to huge public response it was extended for two more days.
