Kerala has reported to be shut today, as the trade union has affected a strike which demands the withdrawal of proposed changes in the labour laws. This strike has resulted in affecting the daily life in Kerala.

It is noted that no shops are opened not even a tea stall or a hotel, no vehicles or public transport such as buses or railways are functioning whereas none of the private operators are seen on the roads, according to the police.

Necessary arrangements are made for the people to reach hospitals but those people who were on journey are held up due to the strike, as no vehicles are moving.

Until now no incident has been reported yet due to the strike which was started mid-night. But the government has declared ‘dies non’ which means no work, no pay to face the strike.

The security in the state has been tightened concerning the strike until it is accomplished.
