MUMBAI- The Taj Mahal Palace and Mumbai domestic and international airports received a terror threat, following which security agencies went on an alert here on Tuesday.

As per the reports; the on duty airport manager on late Monday night received a call that both domestic and international airports and the Taj Hotel may be attacked.

The police teams and dog squad has been pressed into service.

The Mumbai security is already high and the incident comes on the eve of the quantum of sentencing for the 12 convicted for the 7/11 Mumbai serial train blasts, scheduled to be pronounced on Wednesday.

The Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) court had convicted 12 persons while discharged one in the case.

Mumbai has been attacked by terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, an Islamic militant organization on 26 November 2008.
