Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Thursday invited renowned Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali to perform in Delhi.

Ghulam Ali was expected to perform in Mumbai and Pune this week to pay tribute to late singer Jagjit Singh on his fourth death anniversary, but later cancelled the Mumbai concert which was scheduled on Friday at Shanmukhanada Hall.

As per the reports; the 75-year-old Pakistani singer cancelled the Mumbai concert after Shiv Sena threatened to disrupt his live concert.

“I am not angry but hurt, as the concert was a tribute to Jagjit Singh, who was like a brother to him.” said Ghulam Ali.

Ghulam Ali is considered as one of the best ghazal singers of his era.
