The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) set up a vision for the development for 5G mobile network on Thursday. On a view to provide lighting speed, omnipresent, ultra-reliable mobile communications in the short future these which would be a competitive and important step of ITU towards the Techno-world.

The ‘IMT-2020’ vision, endorsed by a resolution in ITU's Radio Communication Assembly established an overall vision for the 5G systems, along with the goals, process and timeline for its development which is now in place.

The detailed technical performance requirements for the radio systems to support 5G will be developed, in close collaborations with Industry and National and Regional Standards Organizations, following the stringent timelines defined by ITU.

"The new ITU-R Resolution sets the stage for the future development of 5G mobile technologies" said ITU Secretary-General Houlin Zhao.

In a trial for 5G network in South Korea, SK Telecom had achieved 19.1 Gbps transmission speed over the air using 'Nokia Networks' cmWave technology. This is the world's first demonstration towards the cmWave technology.

Meanwhile, 4g Americas, the fifth Generation Mobile Communication Promotion Forum (5GMF) (Japan), 5G Forum (Republic Korea), IMT-2020 (5G) Promtion Group (China) and The 5G Infrasturcture Association Public Private Partnership (5GPP) (Europe) will promote 5G globally as it approaches in 2020.

5G network will use a new network communication world as compare to the recent network 4G which provides 30-40 Mbps speed equivalent to your broadband at your home. Chinese mobile giant Huwaei reckons 5G network will be 100 times faster than 4G LTE standards; one can easily download a film in its iPhone 12 or Google Lens in less than a second. Hence, a tremendous communication speed network 5G is beyond the revolution in the network as it will create its own new techno-communication world for the users.
