The forthcoming Rio 2016 games organized first Olympics in South America had the highest demand for its ticket within eight hours. Nearly 240,000 tickets sold in the first eight hours of latest Olympic ticketing phase.

The rush saw 120,000 tickets bought in the first hour, with football, basketball and volleyball attracting the highest demand, Xinhua quoted Globesporte as saying on Tuesday.

According to Globesporte cited information from Rio 2016 organising committee, some two million tickets have been available to Brazilian citizens on a first-come-first-served basis in the third sales stage.

The request for tickets on Tuesday led by residents from the states of Rio de Janerio, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Parana and Distrito Federal.
According to organisers, tickets remain available for about 400 of 518 sessions. Non-Brazilian residents can buy tickets via authorized resellers in their country.

The Olympics i.e. also known as The Games of the XXXI Olympiad held in Rio de Janerio in 2016. Hence, named as Rio 2016 would be conducted from 5 to 21 August 2016. The world's largest international event has 142 qualified (206 expected) participant nations, and more than 10500 expected athletes are participating in various 28 games. Hence, the first Olympics in South America would be the real feast for the vast amount of viewers. So, Get Ready for Rio 2016.
