Foodpanda, one of the online food delivery platform and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), online ticketing platform has tied up to avail food services to railway passengers.

With large number of cuisine at Foodpanda’s menu, passengers have to order their meals at least 2 hours before they board the train. For cash payment, they have availed online payment and cash on delivery. The deliveries of food meals lie with Foodpanda itself as to effectively reach the meals to the passengers.

Speaking on the tie ups Saurabh Kochhar, CEO, Foodpanda said, “Our association with IRCTC will be an offering which addresses a huge consumer need prevailing for years. For long, consumers had limited food options to choose while travelling with the Indian railways, but the newly launched e-catering service by IRCTC is set to change the way Indians eat while travelling.”

Currently, the service is limited to capital Delhi, but it could soon start at Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai.
