Due to the arrival of new crops, the hiked prices of peas and tomato will be low down by mid-December, claims Mother Dairy.

Rate of peas was Rs 139 per kg which probably could come down to Rs 79 per kg, while tomato from Rs 60 per kg could come down to Rs 48-50 per kg.

Talking about reasons of price hike, Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said, “There is no decline in tomato output and the shooting up of the prices to over Rs 60 per kg is due to the disruption in supplies from the rain-hit in South India.” While peas price hike is due to late arrival of product from Punjab.
