On Friday, Maharashtra Government announced that two buses have sent off to Chennai to bring back Maharashtra’s 150 IIT students trapped in the floods. The State government official received a message for help from the students all studying in IIT-Madras which was immediately transferred to relief and rehabilitation department.

“Maharashtra government immediately arranges two buses from Bengaluru for the stranded students and will ensure that they return home soon”, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnvis.

While, buses departed from Bengaluru at Friday morning for Chennai. However, IIT Madras assured that all residents-students and faculty are safe in 250 hectares campus with sufficient drinking food and water.
