Pope Francis approves Mother Teresa's canonization and declared her to be a saint from next year which is her 19th death anniversary as well.

Sainthood requires a declaration of two miracles where Mother Teresa had performed one in 2003 as she healed an Indian woman's tumor through divine intervention and she was beatified as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. The miracle needed for her canonization where she cured a man in Santos, Brazil who was suffering from a severe viral brain infection.

The Vatican said on Friday that the nun would be declared as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church from next year on wards as Pope Francis approved her second miracle which was performed 11 years after her death.
