Bollywood actor Salman Khan who was convicted under charges of the hit-run accident case of 2002 received acquisition by the Bombay High Court here on Thursday. He was found guilty by the trial court for driving his Toyota Land Cruiser over people sleeping on the roadside at night in 2002.

The High court judge Justice AR Joshi who was ruling this case stated that “ Salman Khan cannot be convicted under the charges as prosecution has failed to prove the charges against Khan on all courts”.

After verdict, Salman Khan was directed to hand over fresh cash bond of Rs.25,000 for cancellation of the bond by trial court and asked police to return his passport.

While, Maharashtra Chief Minsiter Devendra Fadanvis said his government will decide for the further course of action.
