Six new Singaporean Satellites were launched from India by ISRO’s PSLV rocket here on Wednesday 16 December. The rockets were blast off from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in the spaceport of Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota at 6.00pm.

The satellites will provide support for city-state to gather information about disaster monitoring and urban planning. According to ISRO official the major luggage for PSLV-C29 is earth observation satellite TELEOS, weighing around 400kg.

ISRO will be flying the ‘core alone’ variant of PSLV rocket without strap on boosters which is said to be its standard feature.

However, the December 16 mission is the last rocket launch mission for ISRO in 2015.
