According to an official source, B-Town's 'Munna Bhai' actor Sanjay Dutt would be released from jail after his five years of imprisonment for possession of illegal arms in the March 12, 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case.
The actor would step out from the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune on February 25 around 9 a.m. and would be received by his family.
The jail authorities rejected a request which was planned by the family for the actor's small welcome ceremony, as a large number of actor's fans and media is expected to be there.
The actor served more than 50 months which excludes the parole and furlough he was granted at various time. He spent 18 months as an undertrial prisoner and then was granted bail; later on in May 2013 Supreme Court ordered his arrest and then was sent to the Yerawada Central Jail to serve the remaining 42 months of his five-year sentence.
