In less than 24 hours HTC has sold over 15,000 units of its much-awaited product "VIVE" virtual reality headsets, and it took only 10 minutes.

Now more than 15,000 pre-orders had been received by the HTC, which only the day before yesterday seemed to scare many with its high price of $800.

Besides the high cost of glasses themselves, consumers will have to pay a lot for a powerful PC (if they don't have such already), as Vive is not having an independent system and depends on PC to work. Deliveries of these ordered HTC Vive will start in the springtime.

Goldman Sachs expects virtual reality businesses to reach $110 billion by 2020.
