In February WhatsApp announced that by the end of 2016 it would stop supporting its application for platforms like BlackBerry, Nokia Symbian S40, Nokia S60, Android 2.1, Android 2.2, iOS 6, and for Windows Phone 7.

Now it became apparent that Facebook-owned company will still give little comfort to the majority users of the following operating systems.

BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 owners, and those with Nokia under the Series 40 and Symbian S60 devices will be able to use WhatsApp on their device and can count on support by the end of June 2017

The 6-month extension does not apply to Android 2.1 operating system and 2.2, Windows Phone 7 and iOS 6, which are expected to stop WhatsApp support after the end of this year.
