Last year Lenovo Phab 2 Pro created headlines for being the first Google Project Tango powered smartphone with its entrance in the market. Now Lenovo's support site shows information about planned updates, and it has turned out that the entire Phab series is not available for the Android Nougat 7.0 update.

The manufacturer's website states that the entire Phab series, including the Phab, Phab Plus, Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus and Phab 2 Pro models, will not get any more updates.

The news is not so exciting in the Android smartphones world, while in the case of devices, some of which came out on the market less than a year ago. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro with Tango, for example, was announced in June 2016 but was released in November.

Of course, it is possible that users of these smartphones are too tiny to make sense to Lenovo to work on modifying the updates for them, but from a standalone perspective, Phab 2 Pro is a popular media device that is left without an OS update less than a year after its launch.
